PHOTOGRAPHY WEBLOG

The photo competition Europe based on Innovation and Knowledge invites professional and amateur photographers to give their contribution on the issue of research, education, know-how, new technologies, renewable resources, etc. Those themes are the focus of the Lisbon Strategy. The Strategy, launched in 2000 by the heads of state and governments of the European Union, set a new and ambitious goal for the Union: to become, by 2010, “the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world, capable of sustainable growth with more and better jobs and greater social cohesion”.

The photo competition is promoted in the framework of the European Project ALSO, aiming at linking territorial cooperation community initiatives and the Lisbon Strategy. ALSO is coordinated by Marche Region (Italy) and SVIM (Development Agency of Marche Region) and involves 15 bodies from 11 Member States of the European Union.

HOW TO ENTER
The competition is for digital photos only and the participation is free. The original works may be edited in colours or black and white. Only JPEG format will be accepted. Each photo must be titled and briefly described.

The Rules of the Competition complete version and the Entry Form are available on the ALSO Project website: www.alsoproject.eu. Each participant may enter one photo, exclusively using the on-line form, by 12 September 2007 (new deadline).
